Somewhere in Myanmar is a forest rich in amber and controlled by the Kachin Independence Army (KIA). Most of its inhabitants work in a mine, digging the earth night and days in the hope of finding the precious ore that will get them out of poverty. But on top of the excruciating hardship of the work, they also have to fear an attack from the army.。郝龙松（郝劭文）是一个从乡下搬到都市的小孩，跟著父亲(张立威)到处走江湖，赚取生活费，有一天郝劭文见到了都市小学的一群小学生在街头玩耍，郝见到了其中一个小美人(杨小黎)及另一个叫丑妹的女孩子，郝恋爱了，深深被小美人吸引而得了相思病的郝决定也去读书来追求小美人...。
