本剧讲述了警视厅搜查一课的刑警城崎达彦（町田启太饰）和他的搭档笹冢晋平（小泉孝太郎饰）一起，作为检举率No.1的搭档而活跃着。但是有一天，城崎最爱的妻子惠子突然失踪了。接着惠子的前辈自由记者的遗体也被发现。城崎确信惠子被卷入了事件中，但是警察并没有进行搜查，城崎也被排除在搜查之外。对警察不可理解的应对感到愤慨的城崎辞职，为了亲自寻找惠子，组成了专门调查失踪案件的侦探社“失踪者搜寻组”。在各领域的专业人士、个性十足的成员和最得力的助手笹冢一起追查惠子等人行踪的过程中，可以说是社会巨大黑暗的“消失的真相”也逐渐明朗——。The series follows the lives of both the family and the servants in the London townhouse at 165 Eaton Place.
