廣東十虎之首鐵橋三(狄龍飾)，乃民團總教練，時煙禁已開，鴉片公賣，官紳販卒均以吸食鴉片為尚，而鐵亦隨俗吸食，功力漸受毒害不自知。煙館主人榮峰(陳觀泰飾)乘鐵無復當年勇時，公然挑戰；鐵勉力應戰，險象環生，幸得徒弟盧瓜四(麥德羅 飾)捨身相救，才不致喪命……。青港人民法院优秀法官齐麟（罗晋饰），幼年时父母因见义勇为离世，被姑妈齐润玉收养长大后，成为了一名济困扶危的人民法官。院领导为解决执行局执行难，积压案件多的状况，决定派遣各庭优秀法官轮岗支援执行局，齐麟成为了当头炮。半年后，齐麟不仅成为了优秀的执行法官，更留在了执行局，继续为民请命。。The film tells the story of three people for a year: a son (Magimel) diagnosed with cancer, a mother (Deneuve) suffering from helplessness and a doctor (Cécile de France) to do her job: One year and four seasons for these three characters to deal with the disease, to tame it, and to understand what it means to die while alive.。
