The film introduces bands such as Silly, Chicorée, San...。十四岁那一年，武则天（冯宝宝饰）被唐太宗（江汉饰）招进了宫，成为了才人。好日子没过几天，唐太宗就去世了，失去了这一靠山，武则天被迫面临着出家为尼的悲惨命运。唐太宗之后，唐高宗（鲁振顺饰）继承了皇位，他十分钦慕武则天的容貌和个性，尽管大臣们极力的反对，唐高宗还是将武则天从尼姑庵中救了出来，留在了身边，封为昭仪。 就这样，武则天开始了在权利塔上的攀登之旅，其中最为难缠的敌手，要属善妒多疑的王皇后（斑斑饰）。最终，武则天还是凭借着诡计和手段扳倒了王皇后，控制了唐高宗，掌控了朝中大权。唐高宗死后，武则天自封为王，开始了她长达六十三年的统治。。
