电影以1876年－1877年中的西南战争和明治维新作为背景，描述一个前美国军人，到日本助明治新政而组建的日本新军做教官，在战争途中被俘，慢慢被日本传统文化所吸引。。Five carpoolers travel in a motorhome to reach a common destination. The road they were traveling on has disappeared and there is only a dense, impenetrable forest and a wooden house in the middle of a clearing, which they disco...。华尔街金融从业者莲实圣司（伊藤英明 饰），在事业取得辉煌成就的时刻选择辞职，回到祖国日本，在一所私立高中担任英语老师。莲实英俊帅气，亲切和善，平易近人，在学生中间有着极高的人气。但是在当前快乐平和的表象下，不安定的氛围悄悄浮现。先是与莲实关系很近的心理咨询教师水落聪子（中越典子 饰）被人威胁，之后体育教师体罚学生，医务室老师田浦（高冈早纪 饰）色诱莲实，而一向阴郁严肃的老师钩井正信（吹越满 饰）则警告聪子不要与莲实走得太近。似乎，莲实那张永远充满阳光般笑容的面孔背后，隐藏着常人难以捉摸的秘密和杀心…… 本片根据貴志祐介的原作改编。。
