在古老的天边，有一座美丽的欢乐之城，那里的人们在欢乐宝典的庇护下，一直过着宁静而快乐的生活。 但是，光明的背面总有阴影。一只被人遗弃的黑猫在风雨交加的夜晚，为了避寒，无意中躲进了塔楼。因为他无意偷看了欢乐宝典而变成了女人，兴奋的黑猫举起了欢乐宝典，谁知道宝典刚刚打开，可怕的事情就发生了：被宝典镇压着的恶龙腾空而起，天空中电闪雷鸣，原本美丽宁静的欢乐之城在一瞬间成为废墟并且裂成数块，所有的居民都变成了各种物品，而宝典也消失了。 这个巨变引发了时空扭曲，把三个野外探险的欢乐宝宝吸入石壁扔进了欢乐之城。仰望着悬浮在空中的废墟，欢想着回家，乐充满好奇和幻想，而豆只想着填饱肚子就万事大吉。三个孩子在废墟中漂浮着，直到他们遇到了已经变成麦克风的欢乐之城城主。孩子们的到来让本来已经绝望的城主看到了一丝希望，他拿出一个宝盒，告诉大家宝盒里藏着一个巨大的秘密，解开这个...。在一个迥异鬼魅的社会，上百层的高楼大厦拔地而起，俨然构筑了一个全然封闭的城市乡镇。居住在138层的女子高中生藤崎（藤崎露琪诺 饰）此前很长时间没有去学校，这一天她乘坐交通工具“移动机筒”赶往学校，不同身份的乘客相继走入，带着各异的目的去往他们的楼层。谁知意外毫无征兆发生，移动机筒因爆炸事故突然停止运行。突如其来的状况，让所有人的命运发生转变。原本甘心受戮的死囚犯仿佛窥到一线生机，因此展开拼死搏杀。逼仄的轿厢内，人间地狱骤然降临。 在此过程中，藤崎好像发现自己拥有某种奇特的能力，而她的命运也变得愈加扑朔迷离……。Disarmingly realistic in its depiction of the realities of frontier life, Heartland is a strong antidote to the cliches of traditional Westerns. This semi-documentary slice of life is based on the diaries of Elmore Randall Stewart about her days on the Wyoming frontier in the early 20th century. It's a strongly feminist statement about a woman raising her small daughter alone and scrapping for a living by working for a shy Scottish rancher. Director Richard Pearce brings an endearing touch to a film that is helped greatly by the dazzling cinematography of Fred Murphy. Conchata Ferrell and Rip Torn star in this small film that substitutes veracity for a high-powered plot. Pearce worked as a cinematographer on Woodstock and other documentaries before making his directorial debut. Winner of the 1980 Berlin Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival。
