The film was written and directed by Stuart Urban, and commissioned to mark the tenth anniversary of the Falklands War. The film was closely based on the historical record, and all of the major incidents portrayed were drawn from contemporary accounts by those who took part. Filming took place on the Falkland Islands and at Ealing Studios. Urban is a fluent Spanish-speaker, and plays an uncredited role as the Argentine radio operator.。以清洁房屋为生的单身母亲罗丝（艾美•亚当斯Amy Adams 饰）高中时曾是风光一时的校啦啦队员。当年男友迈克（史蒂夫•赞恩 Steve Zahn 饰）终于另娶他人，罗丝却与身为警察的迈克依然保持情人关系。罗丝八岁的儿子奥斯卡（杰森•斯佩瓦克 Jason Spevack 饰）因捣乱被学校开除，罗丝决定送儿子入私立学校学习。迈克告知罗丝犯罪现场清洁有利可图，于是罗丝与失业的妹妹诺拉（艾米丽•布朗特 Emily Blunt 饰）组成“阳光清洗公司”，专门清洁犯罪、事故现场，而做小生意的父亲乔（阿兰•阿金 Alan Arkin 饰）暂时照顾奥斯卡。可公司起步没多久，却因诺拉的失误造成了无可挽回的损失，姐妹二人也因此不欢而散…… 本片被提名2008年圣丹斯电影节评委会大奖。。菜鸟上班第一天就听到老鸟说，最近矿场有人失踪或重伤。矿场老板告诉他们，只要查明真相愿意给予丰厚赏金。在来到事发矿区后，他们却看到白骨与干枯血迹。吓得一群人试图回到地面，却发现入口意外被堵死，同伴还被嗜血怪物袭击。漆黑的地下，怪物在身后逼近，他们能否就此逃脱，诱惑是成为怪物口中的佳肴？。
