张君宝终日被父亲张绍定禁足，他的生活基本处于夜里做梦学艺，白天疯疯癫癫的状态，偶尔读书写字，经常在纸上画出一些五行八卦一类的东西，且经常提出要“出门远行，寻访高人，修行道法。”连他自己都快搞不清楚到底是装疯还是真疯了。张绍定夫妇四处寻医问药，但没人能解决张君宝疯癫的问题。。本片剧情感人，主角为一个年轻的伊拉克小女孩，在战争饱受蹂躏，逃离了战乱中的村庄，逃往美国。有两个美国记者和她同路，他们开始一起寻找这个女孩的爸爸，但是这个女孩从来没有见过自己的爸爸，她只知道，她的爸爸名叫约翰史密斯……。RTÉ's new five-part 1916 commemorative drama Rebellion begins with the outbreak of World War I.
